Isère, Ain and Savoie are the best places to learn canyoning!

Terra Nova is located in the heart of 3 départements: Ain, Savoie and Isère. These 3 locations are home to more than 284 canyoning descents. These range from classy, challenging canyons to more easily accessible, infrequent water descents.
It’s also a fantastic spot for introducing children to canyoning.
In addition to the well-known canyons of Furon towards Grenoble, Versoud towards Voiron, Grenant towards Aiguebellette and Ternèze towards Chambéry.
There are plenty of other less-frequented descents ideal for beginners.

Challey canyoning with children

Challey canyoning, in the heart of the Bugey region, is splendid for the beauty of its crystal-clear water and its many obstacles, suitable for all levels. It’s an ideal descent to start the activity!

The new canyoning for children in the Gorges de Ecouges

A little find made in Terra Nova Canyoning, this mini canyon not far from Grenoble introduces you to all the obstacles of canyoning, with the possibility of redoing certain obstacles or bypassing them. Here’s a detailed description of the obstacles:
1.5m tobbogan, 2m slide, 4m abseil, 5m abseil, 3m slide, 1m jump or 3m jump (can be repeated as often as you like), 2m ejectable slide or 9m zip line or 9m jump (not for children!), 2m jump and 5m ejectable slide (can be repeated as often as you like).), 2m jump and 5m ejector slide (can be redone at will).
In short, a natural aqua-land, great for cooling off in summer.

Grenant canyoning near Lac d’Aiguebellette

A canyon very close to Lyon.
With a multitude of obstacles and slides, this is a great descent for youngsters.
Easily accessible from Lyon, Chambéry and Voiron, this descent remains relatively long. Don’t forget to bring a snack with you to one of the many restaurants around Lac d’Aiguebellette.

Trefond Pernaz a canyon just outside Lyon

2 rivers make up this canyon, starting with the ruisseau de Trefond with its many small obstacles, which joins the rivière de Pernaz with its larger basins and bigger jumps.
Come and discover this canyon with your family, 45 minutes from Lyon, it’s a great canyon to do in spring.
